The memoirs of the first president of the Czechoslovak Republic, Tomas Masaryk, tell about the events of the Russian Revolution and the beginning of the Civil War. It is worth saying that the author of the memoirs was well aware of the state of affairs in pre-revolutionary Russia, and the world as a whole, but looked at all events from a Czech perspective. In his book, Masaryk discusses issues of politics, pan-Slavism, recalls important negotiations with leaders of various states and the process of formation of the Czechoslovak Republic. The book is published based on the 1925 edition with minor abbreviations.
