On September 19, 1985, a disaster occurred in Mexico City. A powerful earthquake shook the city at exactly 7:18 am with a magnitude of 8.1 on the Richter scale, and 7.1 the next day. According to some estimates, about 10 thousand people died there, 30 thousand were seriously injured, 250 thousand were left homeless and 900 thousand were forced to say goodbye to their homes. The main blow fell on the Mexico City area, where hospitals and maternity hospitals were located. The cause was a rupture in the Cocos tectonic plate. The disaster left the whole world in awe. This earthquake was one of the most tragic in American history. After a week of active searches for the dead, rescuers found ten babies who turned out to be safe and sound. No one could explain or understand this. Dr. Holden (whose words are included in the story), who examined them after the rescue, could not conclude anything logical except: “This is a miracle!”
