From the introduction: “Of the many hundreds of poetic Sanskrit stotras - songs of praise addressed to the Supreme Lord, His devotees and the holy places of His pastimes - the Mukunda-mala-stotra of King Kulasekhara is one of the most famous. It is believed that the author perceived it as a garland (mala) of verses offered for the pleasure of Lord Krishna. It has long been loved by Vaisnavas of all schools and by our spiritual master, Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who often quoted some of his favorite stanzas."
