From 1791 to the present day, Kant has been and remains a hero or anti-hero of Russian literature. His presence in it is so great that literary Kantianism is a brief outline of the history of Russian literature. The monograph explores the diverse and contradictory perception of Kant’s personality in Russian literature, the diverse characteristics of his philosophical views by Russian writers, stable thematic blocks in which the name of Kant is used , terms or problems of his philosophy, literary criticism, irony and sarcasm addressed to the German thinker, the language of his philosophy and the views of his Russian fans, and also highlights both quite characteristic features of Russian literary Kantianism in general, and its very unusual manifestations on the example of individual representatives . Along with this, the study points to possible sources of knowledge of Russian writers and poets about the German philosopher, and also studies the degree of correspondence of Kant as a literary character to Kant as a real historical figure, the adequacy of the ideas of Kantian philosophy artistically conveyed in Russian literature to the course of his thought in his own philosophical works .
