The reader will have a journey through the streets that make up the axis of the Vladimir District municipality located in the city center. The described period of history of these streets is very wide: from the first mention to the present day. Their buildings represent all periods and styles of St. Petersburg architecture. And which of the “small” streets of St. Petersburg can boast of so many celebrities and the first addresses of their lives in the huge city? The publication serves as a continuation of the authors’ book about Vladimirsky Prospekt. It comes out in the year of the tercentenary of the beginning of book printing in the city on the Neva and talks about the first St. Petersburg printing house and one of its successors - the Synodal Printing House. As in their other works, the authors made extensive use of information from archival funds, address and reference books. Of great interest are the personal memories of residents of Bolshaya Moskovskaya Street and Pravda Street, including those not previously published.
