Alexey Alexandrovich von Lampe was a participant in three wars - the Russo-Japanese, the First World War, the Civil War in Russia and an eyewitness to three more - the civil war in Spain, the Soviet-Finnish and the Second World War. Over his long life, he went from a simple General Staff officer to the head of the Russian General Military Union. The book offered to the reader for the first time publishes surviving diary entries for the period 1919 - early 1920, dedicated to the Civil War in southern Russia, as well as a collection of articles by A.A. von Lampe “The Paths of the Faithful”, which tells about the general’s comrades and the events of the first half of the twentieth century.
