The book explores the military-political side of the Augustan Principate. The main subject of study is the military organization of the young Roman Empire and its functioning, the relationship between the military transformations of Augustus and the foreign policy actions of the new regime. Using specific material, it is proven that the emperor and his closest collaborators developed and persistently implemented a doctrine of real conquest of world domination.
