"Trip" is a collection of true stories about the life of downshifters in Thailand. The heroes of the book are former office employee Tosh and his friends: Hemingway’s alcoholic Vanya, the odious playmaker Doctor, naturalist philosopher Fyodor N. and other equally colorful personalities. They drink rum, smoke joints, get into stupid stories and have philosophical conversations. There are no Shantaram-style adventures or Eat, Pray, Love-style enlightenments here. “Trip” shows the daily life of these, in general, ordinary people who, by chance, find themselves in unusual circumstances. But there’s nothing more fascinating than someone else’s everyday life, right? Otherwise, why does everyone love to spy on each other so much? The plot in this book develops in reverse order - thus the author decided to achieve a happy ending. Because too often these stories start out happier than they end. However, you can read “Trip” from any angle, and in any case you will not lose anything. Contains obscene language.
