Ivan Vladimirov is an original artist-reporter [10.1.1870, Vilnius, - 14.12.1947, Leningrad], whose true fame [or fame, to put it mildly] came... many years after his death - after His works from the “Revolutionary Watercolors” series were published. It is difficult to comment on his paintings; it is best to slowly examine them. By the way, they convey images not of people of the revolutionary era, but... of subjects very reminiscent of Gopniks. This is how the artist saw “socialism with a human face.”
