Vladimir Pavlovich Cherevansky (1836–1914) - statesman and writer. He made a brilliant career, the pinnacle of which was his appointment as a member of the State Council for the Department of State Economy. The hero of the novel “Love under Fire,” Boris Mozhaisky, goes to Turkestan to organize supplies for the army of General Skobelev, which is fighting in the Ahal-Tekin oasis.
