About a year ago, on an ordinary cold morning, I had the idea to install the then unfamiliar Mac OS X operating system on my PC. I don’t know why, but this process was constantly postponed. Sometimes there was no desire, sometimes someone talked me out of it, and sometimes I talked myself out of it after reading another negative comment in a topic where installing Mac OS X on a PC was discussed. Time has passed. And so, in January, I finally decided to install this lovely OS for myself. Probably this was also facilitated by a conversation with a wonderful person under the nickname FRKolyan. I started looking for manuals, and almost immediately came across a well-known video on YouTube, in which a guy installed MAC OS X Leopard on a Fujitsu-Siemens laptop. This video inspired me a lot. I downloaded several different assemblies and began to try to install them, but after several unsuccessful attempts my inspiration began to disappear somewhere... This is where the time came to look for forums on this topic, fortunately there are a large number of them on the Internet. But there was either not enough information there, or it was scattered throughout the forum. Having visited a bunch of forums, websites, blogs, I came across one wonderful resource - macpages.ru! From that moment my apple life began))) I found a topic where the installation was described, left a comment and after some time they answered me - it was like a ray of light on a rainy, cloudy day. There were few people willing to help, only one kind person under the nickname - SaTaNiK. It was with his help that I finally managed to win the war with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, at that time it was the “iDeneb v1.3” build. The joy knew no bounds))) But from time to time “Dancing with a Tambourine” still appeared, and even though it was no longer so scary, sometimes it made itself felt not in the best form. Further more. And “Leopard” was replaced by an assembly from “HAZARD”. A little later I installed and configured Snow Leopard Retail... Over time, I began to experiment, installing three systems on one hard drive. I started looking for books on Mac OS X, there weren’t many of them, and I couldn’t find any literature on Hackintoshes at all, so the idea came to collect all the materials in a pile. At that moment it was still for myself. While I was “traveling” on the Internet, I came across many requests from “newbies” to provide a link to a complete manual for installing and configuring this wonderful system. Then I decided to write this book so that at least somehow alleviate the plight of those who are faced with problems installing Mac OS X on a PC for the first time in their lives. The book will also be useful to read not only for those who are struggling with the installation, but also for those who have already installed it. Of course, it will not be possible to tell everything, but I tried to select, in my opinion, the most important material, with the help of which I hope you will be able to install and configure Mac OS X on your computer. Of course, many more things could be added. But it’s problematic to contact all the authors, and it’s not good to publish without the authors’ permission! That's why at the end of the book I wrote some useful links that you can use to learn something new and interesting. Enjoy your reading!
