Many prominent Soviet statesmen, scientists and military leaders came from small provincial villages, usually from poor large families. Before the October Revolution, they all suffered extreme poverty, from an early age they worked on an equal basis with adults, they went hungry and suffered from poverty, having experienced first-hand what social injustice is, sideways mocking glances and even outright bullying of the rich. They did not have the slightest decent future - neither under the tsarist regime, nor under the bourgeois one. Therefore, after 1917, the choice of the further path was obvious to them - together with the working people, together with the Red Army, to further happiness. The hero of our story, the son of a poor peasant from the village of Bolshoy Zaural, Ochersky district, Isai Moiseevich Naberukhin, also went through this path - from an ordinary Red Guard to a major general of the Soviet Army.
