Employees of the Rosehip detective agency, where former mathematics teacher Rita Roshchina had recently worked, took on the most complicated cases, including family ones. The case of Ekaterina Alekseevna Larikova was of precisely this kind. She wanted to convict her son's wife of kidnapping her twelve-year-old stepson. The boy's father, businessman Sergei Larikov, denied the kidnapping. Having complained that the order had failed, the detectives sent both of them to sort out the family difficulties on their own and thought that they would never hear about the Larikovs again. But the story, which began as a farce, very soon turned into a real tragedy...
