The book contains scripts by prose writer and playwright Valery Zalotukha, winner of the Big Book award for the novel Candle and the Nika award for the script of the film Muslim. “After the War, the World” is the author’s first script, written at the age of twenty-two, even before entering the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors. Films based on the scripts “The Gardener” and “The Road” had a successful cinematic career. The scripts “The Last Times” and “The Secret Life of Anna Sapphirova” were not staged. “The Secret Life of Anna Sapphirova” is the only melodrama in the author’s creative biography, and it was written for Lyudmila Gurchenko and Vladimir Ilyin.
