The history of mankind is the history of wars and conquests. Throughout its history, Russia has actually experienced three world conflicts, starting with the “era of the Napoleonic Wars.” Why did the French and Russians fight each other? Is it really out of a feeling of national hatred? Why did Napoleon, having come to power on the crest of a revolutionary wave, drag the French, Italians, Germans, even the Spaniards, not to mention the Poles, into the abyss of war and build his European empire? Why did the Russians, British, Prussians, Austrians, Swedes, Spaniards and other peoples not like it so much? What goals did Russia pursue by creating and actively participating in anti-Napoleonic coalitions? The author was tasked with painting a general picture of the participation of the Russian army in the wars against Napoleon, identifying the place and role of Russia in anti-Napoleonic coalitions from the point of view of national and European history.
