This book is the fruit of the author’s personal observations, experiences and impressions during his many years of wandering through the mountains and forests of Manchuria. It only slightly lifts the veil that hides an interesting world full of mysterious romance and charm from the eyes of a cultured person. This world, now becoming obsolete, is still preserved in all its integrity where virgin primeval forests stand, untouched by human hands, and wild deserts stretch for hundreds of kilometers. With the penetration of culture into the region, the areas of these forests are reduced and the beautiful pristine nature disappears, and with it is the original world, which is currently a relict remnant of the most ancient eras of human history. Nikolai Apollonovich Baykov (November 29 (December 11), 1872, Kyiv - May 6, 1958, Brisbane, Australia) - military man, writer and naturalist. Peru N. Baykova owns over 300 works, his name has gained international fame.
