In his book, American biologist and leading specialist in evolutionary developmental biology (evo-devo) Sean Carroll clearly and fascinatingly talks about how evolution and the work of natural selection are reflected in the DNA record. In his own words, he provides such evidence of Darwin's theory that Darwin himself could not even dream of. Genetic studies in recent years show how completely different species develop the same characteristics, while related ones develop different ones; how evolution repeats itself; how white-blooded fish learned to do without hemoglobin, and colobus fish learned to digest plant foods like ruminants. Carroll strongly opposes those who use unscientific arguments in the fight against Darwinism, and warns that if we ignore the predictions of scientists and continue to treat nature with consumerism, the planet will face a bleak future.
