1887, all of Paris is gripped by fear because of a serial killer calling himself the Dark Artist. The corpses of victims displayed in a public morgue attract crowds of curious people. Among them is sixteen-year-old journalist Natalie Budin, who writes daily reports from the morgue for a local newspaper.
