Nothing will captivate a reader who wants to enter the world of this author like a few letters that span the period from 1783 to 1883. and which Benjamin selected for publication and commented on. The selection was based on a unique principle that distinguishes this particular century as the crown of the bourgeois era. The comments shed light on the time the letters were written and the people who wrote them, and Benjamin emerges as a man endowed with an extraordinary ability to judge language very accurately.
