Ivan Antonovich Efremov (1908–1972) is a Soviet paleontologist, creator of taphonomy, science fiction writer, cosmist philosopher and social thinker. In his works, he described scientific discoveries, events and phenomena that at that time seemed impossible. But very little time passed and many scientific predictions became reality.
