Schultz (1859-1947): “With the Indians in the Rocky Mountains”, “Apok the Buffalo Caller”, “Son of the Navajo Tribe”, “The Mistake of the Lone Buffalo” and the story “The Hungry Winter”. Having settled for many years among the Blackfeet Indian tribe, D Schultz became well aware of all the peculiarities of their patriarchal customs and the uniqueness of their hunting life. The time of his stories refers to the period of American history when the Indians had not yet lost their original rights to the land and were not driven into reservations, however, as shown by the increasing dominance of white colonialists. Schultz, was already fully felt by the indigenous population of the continent.
