The memoirs of screenwriter and film producer Konstantin Filimonov are a biting, like a ringing slap in the face, TRUTH about the behind the scenes of modern Russian cinema. There are no fictional characters or invented facts here: all events and names of star actors and directors are real. In his memoirs, the author recalls how he came into the film business and filmed his feature films “KISSES OF FALLEN ANGELS”, “KROMOV” and “BITCH FOR A CHAMPION”. The best actors of Russia and the CIS participated in these films - Vladimir Vdovichenkov, Yuri Solomin, Evgeny Sidikhin, Alexey Kravchenko, Amalia Mordvinova, Lyubov Tolkalina, Ekaterina Vasilyeva, Juozas Budraitis, Vladimir Turchinsky, Andrei Chernyshov, Anastasia Tsvetaeva and others. Music for films was written by such composers as Evgeniy Doga, Evgeniy Margulis, Alexander Zatsepin, Arkady Ukupnik. Konstantin Filimonov himself was the author of the idea for the films, co-author of the script and general producer of his films. But the author of the memoirs remembers not only his films. Here the reader will find many little-known and interesting facts from the life of Russian cinema stars. Particular attention in the memoirs is paid to Nikita Mikhalkov, because of whom (according to the author) Russian cinema is in deep crisis.
