The book “Konrad Adenauer - German of Four Epochs” is the first solid study in Russia of the life and work of an outstanding German politician. The book is based on documentary and memoir materials, not least the memories of Adenauer himself, statements and assessments of the press of that time. The personal impressions of the author, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor V.D. Ezhov, who in the second half of the 50s - early 60s was the second secretary of the USSR Embassy in Bonn, were repeatedly present at K. Adenauer’s speeches in the Bundestag, at his press conferences, could observe the chancellor at receptions and other events. The book is intended to rehabilitate the image of K. Adenauer, distorted by Soviet propaganda, and to give an objective assessment of his contribution to world politics.
