The book introduces the reader to the historical events of Russia, the life of the past generation and not only develops the intellect, but also promotes the patriotic and moral education of the individual. The main characters are the Voronin brothers, into whose lives revolution, war, deprivation and misfortune broke into. The action takes place in a village located in the Murom forests, not far from the Sarov monastery. On the edge of the village there is a convent where Seraphim of Sarov, heading to the Sarov monastery, pointed to the place of its foundation. The monastery and its walls saw a lot of troubles and misfortunes and witnessed many events that happened near them. They remember the cry of the bell, which was heard for many miles around when they threw it from the bell tower, and the brick walls for a long time did not succumb to the explosions staged by the communists of the village and the bloody massacre over fellow villagers who instantly became enemies of each other and the confrontation between the Bolsheviks and the rest of the population. The heroes of the book went through a war, a camp, unexpected meetings and long-awaited happiness.
