Dear readers, lovers of the detective genre! I present to your consideration a new collection of detective stories under the general title “The Long Road to Nowhere...” The events described in the works cover a large time period: from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present day. Some detective stories are a continuation of the investigation of high-profile crimes - this is “The Long Road to Nowhere”, “Kill the General”. The perpetrators of the murders have not yet been found and punished, so the author conjectured a picture of the crime and suggested his own version of the development of events. Other stories are based on everyday facts: “Good Intentions”, “The Killing Prose of Life”, “Gypsy Eyes”, “Dying Twice”. “The Art of Killing” and “The Closet” are dedicated to military themes. The short story “Shot in the Head” is also based on materials from the investigation into the death of a female student. The story “Unequal Marriage” is dedicated to the theme of first pure love.
