Sigridur Hagalin Björnsdóttir creates a new dystopia of the 21st century, exposing our fear of going back - into the tight grip of state, social, psychological violence and disunity. It has not disappeared, has not lost its power, it has only hidden behind the facades of well-being. There are always a lot of justifications for any oppression, and in fatal moments, society agrees with it. Only a few of the wild and confused escape the embrace of lies. And only those who respond to suffering are able to throw into the void an almost hopeless call for help: “We are here. We are alive. Hear us.”
