A divorced poet, who has escaped from his hometown and is also trying to escape from himself, is hired by an advertisement in the newspaper to accompany the widowed millionaire businesswoman Vera. Soon a love passion flares up between them. Suddenly, a killer appears, whom Vera hired to deal with the killers of her husband, and then other strange events begin to happen... At the moment, this is the writer’s largest novel. The plot is almost detective-like, keeping the reader in suspense from the first to the last line. With all that, the novel contains a lot of philosophical reasoning, amazing theories, lyrics and poetry (including the poetry of Sergei Sergeevich himself). Several real personalities act as characters (Emir Kusturica, etc.). The novel contains journalistic revelations about the political situation in our country and throughout the world.
