This book is the result of the collective work of the commanders of the SS Panzer-Grenadier Regiment "Der Fuhrer", formed in Austria in the spring of 1938 and ending its journey in Germany on May 12, 1945, when the regiment was announced the end of hostilities and the surrender of the German armed forces on all fronts. Based on authentic documents, including combat logs, personal diaries of commanders and fellow soldiers, orders, diagrams and cartographic materials, Otto Weidinger, the last commander of Der Fuhrer and the author of this book, spoke about the participation of the regiment in the battles on theaters of war in Holland, Belgium, France, Yugoslavia and Russia, during the West Wall Offensive in the Ardennes and Hungary, as well as in battles in Vienna and Prague.
