The action of the novel “I'll Take You with Me” takes place in a small Italian town. Quiet teenager Pietro Moroni grows up in a dysfunctional family, he is introverted, loves to read and watch animals. He has a hard time at school: he is a black sheep, and besides, he does not know how to stand up for himself. Protest accumulates in him, and this leads him to tragedy. Forty-year-old playboy Graziano, who returned to his native place after long wanderings, attracts everyone's attention. He is the object of desire of all Provincial ladies. However, his personal life suffers a complete collapse, and his only true love irrevocably eludes him. The life lines of the two main characters suddenly intersect only at the end of the story. They know nothing about each other, and the handsome Gratiano cannot even imagine what fatal role the thin, defenseless boy will play in his fate.
