The main character meets at his concert a small and very talented girl, Vika, who loves to sing and dreams of being on stage. However, her mother does not share her daughter's aspirations. After the concert, a serious conflict flares up between her and the young vocalist, because he really wants to defend the little girl’s right to her own aspirations and desires, which the woman, due to Soviet principles of upbringing, does not notice. So who will prevail and what will ultimately await little Vika?
