Eric Delcourt is a playwright, screenwriter, director, theater and film artist. He has several plays to his credit, of which “The Greek Sister,” first staged in 2006, is the most successful. This “neo-vaudeville” has the status of a cult comedy, the play has since been staged hundreds of times in several major theaters in France and Switzerland, and has been seen by more than 500 thousand spectators. Camille and Luca, a couple of thirty-year-old Parisian “bobos” (bohemian bourgeois) arrive on a time share to an alpine resort town to celebrate the New Year. Due to a technical problem, the same apartment is claimed by a couple of provincials, their complete opposite, with whom they have to get along... Family friend, psychoanalyst Tom, arrives alone, because his “half” ran away from him with a fitness trainer... To top it all off, Luke’s mistress appears ... A showdown, equivocation and misunderstandings, a New Year's Eve situation that gives rise to a lot of comic episodes and gags... The comedy is peppered with witticisms, the characters' personalities are outlined brightly and caustically, and the ending is a complete surprise... This sitcom has a slant, as French critics write, into caricature , has every right to be called a cult - in ten years on stage her popularity has only increased.
