Ted Kosmatka was born in 1974 in Chicago, Illinois, a few miles from Lake Michigan. As a child, he helped his parents raise border dogs on the family farm and was interested in science and religion. While working on his thesis, he studied the bones and artifacts of ancient people at the Chicago Field Museum. He received a degree in biology from Indiana University. Currently working in a research laboratory related to research in the field of genetics. A remarkable fact is that he named his first animal, a pet mouse, in honor of the hero of the novel - Algernon. The first science fiction story, “The God Engine,” was published in 2005 in Asimov’s SF magazine. After this, the author continued to perform in the "small form" and has now published about a dozen stories.
One of the author's last stories, "Indiana Harbor Jones", was chosen for the opening ceremony of The Brauer Museum of Art ), located in Indiana and exhibiting American art of the 19th and 20th centuries. In 2012, the novel “The Games” was published. (Unofficial electronic edition)
