This novel was published by the Cimmeria publishing house in July 2018 in a very limited edition and in a slightly shortened version. It was written on the basis of a synopsis left by C.E. Wagner, who himself at one time decided to write a novel about how Conan seized the throne of Aquilonia, but learned that Lin Carter and Lion Sprague de Camp were writing their own version (“Under the Banner of the Black Dragons ") abandoned his plan and the wonderful synopsis remained unrealized. One of my good friends advised me to try to write a novel based on Wagner’s synopsis, and although I am not a professional writer, I sincerely love the work of Howard and his closest followers, I decided to take up the pen, since none of the foreign or domestic writers tried to bring Wagner’s plan to the end. Now I am presenting the non-editorial version in the hope that perhaps it will attract readers interested in the world of Conan.V.E.
