The play is polemical and scandalous. It is based on the everyday life and morals of a newspaper that reviews books and covers the literary process. The editor-in-chief was a talented poet in the past, but lost faith in art against the backdrop of cynical reality. His opponent is the legendary Poet, a friend of Brodsky, who decided to leave home after a scandal with his wife... Two poets meet, and this changes the life of each of them. All the prototypes are very recognizable. In 2006, the play was awarded the Tom Stoppard Prize.
