K. N. Leontyev is an original, original and at the same time thinker close to the Russian Church. He often consulted with the Optina elders about his writings and tested his thoughts with their advice. It was his originality, on the one hand, and his churchliness, on the other, that became the reason that he did not gain wide popularity among the reading public, passionate about the ideas of liberalism and political radicalism. Leontyev went against the grain - and the price for this was his obscurity during his lifetime.
