A tale about wooden buttons that had no idea that they were buttons, and therefore ended up in one funny story. Once upon a time there lived a little girl who loved animals very much. Her dad and mom once decided to give her a New Year's gift - a new blouse with buttons in the shape of animals. Mom knits yarn, and dad makes animal figures from wood. This is how figures of a cat, dog, squirrel, lamb, chicken and other animals appear. The figurines decide that they are Christmas tree decorations. They remain in this confidence for some time, dreaming that they will soon decorate the Christmas tree with themselves. But then, when they are all beautifully painted and dried, dad drills holes in the figures, and instead of hanging them on the tree, they are put in a box. The toys are completely perplexed as to why they were treated this way and decide to run away from their owners. The owner's mischievous cat helps them in this, and then the girl's New Year's gift is in jeopardy. How will it all end? Let's find out!
