The monograph is devoted to the historical and architectural description of the monastic complexes of the Moscow Kremlin, which is the result of many years of research by the author. Monasteries in the Kremlin have always performed many different functions - spiritual, representative and others, very important for the capital city of a huge state. In addition, the monastery complexes were independent closed architectural and spatial objects and had specific features of artistic interaction with the Kremlin ensemble as a whole. The book examines both the well-known Kremlin monasteries - Spassky on Bor, Chudov, Voznesensky, and two little-known ones - Epiphany and Afanasyevsky, first introduced by the author into scientific use in this capacity in articles published in collections of scientific works.
