In Sergei Tyutyunik's story "Carmen and Benckendorff" - Carmen is not a Spanish gypsy, but a Caucasian German woman, who killed her own husband in her early youth, went through Soviet prisons, tried to convey her experience to the public (her prose was stopped by censorship), and is now trading with your body. Benckendorff is not Count Alexander Khristoforovich, but the former chief censor of the USSR, who in modern times supervises “information” in one of the “hot spots”.
