In opposition to the Order is the Industrial Cartel, which rules the kingdom of Eastern Phoenix. The cartel controls the second half of the world's mahonium supply. In fact, the Order and the Cartel are two powerful monopolies that carefully guard the secrets of processing mahonium from primary raw materials - magonite. Their relationship with each other can only be compared to the Cold War. And by the time of the story, these relations have become so tense that a World War could begin at any moment... Six main thinking races: people, Breen, Yorks, Ifrs, Zhupats and Farks. The storyline is built around the fate of the young magician Mirril - an adept of the Vidrin wing Order of the Eight Elders. On behalf of the archmages, Mirril comes to the capital of Chikrog - Mistor. And then he gets into trouble. She is robbed: her documents disappear along with her money. And the capital is extremely wary of visitors without any documents... Then there are chases, betrayals, philosophical messages and dizzying plot twists. It should be noted that the novel has a “trick” - all the obscene words in it are fictitious. At the end, a dictionary of interpretations of certain “fantasy curses” is given.
