A new novel by Anatoly Marchenko is dedicated to the life and work of one of the leaders of the White Movement, A. I. Denikin (1872-1947). A supporter of the monarchy, he nevertheless welcomed the February revolution, seeing some progress in it, but the subsequent events destructive to Russia forced him to take the path of armed struggle against the new government... This novel is an attempt to restore historical justice. The documents used give it credibility and credibility: excerpts from letters, diaries, Denikin’s books “Essays on the Russian Time of Troubles” and “The Path of a Russian Officer.”
