The novel describes a raid on the German rear of the assault tank battalion of Captain Andrei Shestakov. For his bold and unexpected blows, battalion commander Shestakov received the nickname “Snow Fox” from his opponents. His tanks, reinforced by paratroopers, appeared in the most unexpected places, sowing death among the Nazis. The book was written based on real events.
