The author's unexpected view of the possible construction of communism. And not in the entire USSR and not by 1980, as Nikita Sergeevich Khrushchev promised, but in a separate provincial region. Even in 1965. And besides, not by the forces of our mighty state, but by a simple peasant who, for a grandiose undertaking, gathered a small company of casual acquaintances who were instantly infected with this noble, fantastic idea. And, since communism itself is a great utopia, pure surrealism, an unrealizable theoretical hypothesis of socialist politicians who are stunned by revolutionary victories, then the plot about the construction of communism in the provincial town of Zaraysk and in the same regional villages is pure phantasmagoria. Everything in the plot of the story looks like a mass hallucination. It turns out that the main character himself, Ivan the Fool, comes from a Russian fairy tale, and that all kinds of helpers in establishing the highest phase of human development on Earth - characters from fairy tales - are evil spirits.
