"Brown Morning" is a novella written by Frank Pavloff in December 1998. The plot, like the narrative style of "Brown Morning", is very simple: two very ordinary friends, watching the formation of the Brown state, refuse to worry and... then take action. Unnoticed by the heroes, as a result of the measures taken and new laws, everything changes color: cats, dogs, newspapers, radio... There is no reason to worry - you just need to follow the new rules. But will the Brown state stop there?.. “Brown Morning” is a manifesto against political unanimity, a metaphor for the “brown shirts” - the nickname given to the Nazi SS police. The phenomenon of the anti-fascist novel “Brown Morning” by Frank Pavloff is really impressive: a book of 12 pages and costing 1 euro - has been on the bestseller list in France for more than 10 years, has gone through more than 40 reprints, and the total circulation exceeds 1,500,000 copies. The book “Brown Morning” became especially popular after the first round of the presidential elections in France in 2002. , when far-right candidate Jean-Marie Le Pen (National Front) entered the second round. Now this children's anti-fascist book is being discussed in educational institutions in 25 countries.
