The play tells about the destinies and difficult relationships of two people - an old actor, the luminary of the troupe and his costume designer. One suffered the torment of creativity and the sweetness of fame, the fate of the other was the unknown and a life full of drama next to talent. They are antagonists who form a single whole. The play takes place in 1942 in the backstage of one of the English theaters, where in the evening a performance of Shakespeare's King Lear is to take place. However, the famous artist playing the main role in the play, Sir John, is mentally ill. And only his long-term friend and associate, costume designer Norman, can help the star. However, a young actress intervenes in the matter and almost destroys the duet between the artist and his costume designer that has developed over the years. The performance will still take place, but the outcome of the play will be completely unexpected.
