The monograph analyzes the system of political control in the Perm region in the post-revolutionary decade. Based on the use of a large amount of archival material, the process of emergence and development of institutions of political control is examined. The author first attempted to show the features of formation and evolution in the 1920s. the information apparatus of local state security bodies (GubChK - GPU), as well as bodies of Soviet political censorship in the provinces. In addition, the monograph describes in detail the main channels for collecting information about the political sentiments of the population of the region by the party committees of the RCP (b) - the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, and reveals the process of implementing the function of political control by party control bodies.
