The study of the early philosophy of Edmund Husserl is aimed at eliminating the continuous “blank spot” in the development of the legacy of this thinker in Russia. It includes the study of the socio-historical situation in Germany in the last decades of the 19th century, i.e. the specific environment in which E. Husserl walked the difficult path from mathematics to philosophy. The main lines of his spiritual, philosophical development and his activities at the University of Halle-Wittenberg, as well as interactions in the scientific and philosophical community are traced. At the center of the book is still the only complete textual study in phenomenological literature of “The Philosophy of Arithmetic,” the first significant book of E. Husserl (it was not translated into Russian). Particular attention is paid to the first “breakthroughs” of Husserl’s future phenomenological ideas. For the first time in Russian literature, Husserl’s manuscripts, prepared for the never published II volume of “Philosophy of Arithmetic” and published in “Husserlian” only in the second half of the 20th century, are introduced into scientific circulation. Considered in its entirety, the book’s problematics make it possible to connect the initial stages of the development of Husserl’s ideas with the not yet completely clear, but already emerging outlines of his future phenomenology, with its potential capabilities, realized by Husserl and his followers and leading to the transformation of phenomenology into one of the most powerful philosophical movements XX century. The author transformed the complex material of the book into a transparent, understandable and fascinating narrative, which will undoubtedly expand the circle of its readers. The publishing layout is preserved in a4.pdf format.
