The book examines several linguistic expressions important for liberal discourse: human rights, freedom, tolerance, pluralism, private property and privatization, democracy, justice. Their meaning, existence in the language, associative potential, and the evolution of the attitude of native speakers towards them are described. Each of these expressions has its own history, they entered the language at different times and in different ways, their meaning and attitude towards them changed over time. And even now different people understand these words differently. At the same time, mutual understanding and the possibility of meaningful constructive dialogue are largely determined by the clarity of the linguistic expressions used, at least the key ones for this type of discourse. The book is intended for a wide range of readers interested in Russian culture, the Russian language and the history of ideas. The publishing layout is saved in PDF A4 format.
