The book is dedicated to little-studied, but extremely dramatic pages of the history of the Civil War and partisan struggle in Siberia and the East with the participation of the Siberian Cossack army. This story is quite comparable to what happened on the “quiet Don” or in the “free Kuban”. The author describes mainly the military side of events, relying on documents from the Cossack funds of a number of archives and rare sources of emigrant literature, gives colorful images and biographies of the leaders of the White Cossack movement Ivanov-Rinov, Berezovsky, Glebov and others. The book is equipped with extensive and first-published comments, notes and indexes and is part of a series published by the Tsentrpoligraf publishing house under the general title “Forgotten and Unknown Russia”.
