The fourth book in the series “Investigations of the private detective Maxim Omsky”. Andrew Campbell, Scottish Esquire, dies at a respectable age in his castle. However, his eldest son Archibald suspects that his father did not die of his own free will, and insists on a forensic examination. It is revealed that Andrew died from an overdose of heart medications. The police investigation concludes that the old man committed suicide. But Archibald does not agree with the police’s conclusions and hires a detective to find out the cause and find the true culprit in his father’s death. Книга "Розплющений віскі" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям у світі детективної літератури. Автор майстерно переплітає елементи загадки, напруги та емоцій, створюючи захоплюючий сюжет, який тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Історія про смерть Ендрю Кемпбелла та розслідування, яке проводить приватний детектив Максим Омський, настільки захоплююча, що я не міг відірватися від книги. Персонажі прописані дуже детально, а їхні мотивації та стосунки між собою додають глибини сюжету. Особливо сподобалося, як автор передає атмосферу шотландського замку та його таємниць. Ця книга точно варта уваги всіх любителів детективів, і я з нетерпінням чекаю наступної частини серії!
