Back in 1914, Nikolai Albertovich Kun retold the ancient Greek epic for high school students, and since then no one has managed to surpass him in the beauty and clarity of the style. Later, Alexandra Alexandrovna Neihardt supplemented his work with stories about the gods and heroes of Ancient Rome. These texts are perfectly complemented by illustrations from the “Picture Atlas of World History,” published by the famous Wolff printing house in 1865.
